How do I register as an Akvo user? What can users do in RSR?

First, you must belong to an organisation already registered with Akvo. If you aren't sure whether or not your organisation is registered, take a look through our list of partner organisations.

If your organisation is not yet part of the Akvo Trusted Partner Network you cannot register as a user. We hope to provide individual users with accounts soon, but do not currently do so.

To register your organisation with Akvo, please read the application criteria, roles, and procedures for partners.

If your organisation is registered with Akvo, click Register or go to the first registration page. Select your organisation (not Akvo!) from the drop-down list and click Continue. Enter your individual information so your organisation can validate your Akvo account, and click Register. An email will be sent to the email address you entered to verify the account request; click on the link in the email to confirm the request.

Once you have confirmed the request, an activation request will be sent to your organisation's administrator and the Akvo account administrator. Your organisation's administrator will decide what type of user account you will have based on what you'll be doing in RSR and activate the account. When the account request has been approved, you will be able to log in to your Akvo account.

There are different types of user accounts in Akvo?

There are three different types of RSR user accounts.

Organisation administrators manage their organisation's Akvo account, information and users, and can create new projects; project editors can add and edit project information; and general users are able to add updates to their organisation's projects, and make comments on any project.
